Todd Brunclik is a student majoring in art education with a focus on ceramics at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Stout and has been featured in gallery showings in Shell Lake, Duluth and Rice Lake. In the fall of 2005 he will be studying in Japan under the instruction of the well know potter, Masakazu Kusakabe.

As you can see by the photos you are sure to find something you’ll love in all price ranges. Todd employs a wide variety of techniques and experiments with multiple styles in his art, including Raku, Horse Hair Pottery.and soda fired piece that can be used for food consumption

What is Horse Hair Pottery?

Todd hand “throws” the pot and fires it until it reaches approximately 1800 degrees, when it is removed from the kiln the horse hair is placed on the glowing hot pot. This results in unique, one-of-a-kind designs which is made by the carbon trace left from the horse hair. When it is finished Todd then signs the pot with the horses name and his signature.
